Using Buttons At A Trade Show

A graphic of people going up to a booth at a trade show.

Trade shows have been around for quite some time. This past year we have seen many changes in how things are done in the trade show world, but they’re finally getting back to normal. Trade shows are good for sharing your companies products to the market that would be interesting in buying them. With this event being back to in-person using your promotional products it much simpler again. When you are picking your promotional products it’s good to think of them as an investment. Giving out something small and easy like a button can help attract customers to come back and buy what are you selling. Using buttons at a trade show helps with getting your name out to the public and leaving them with something helps them remember you.

Handing Out Buttons

80% of attendees believe audience engagement and free samples significantly help define their purchasing decision. This statement is good to keep in mind when preparing for a trade show. It’s safe to say that the majority of people enjoy getting free things, no matter what it is. When using buttons at trade shows, they are the perfect size to not overwhelm the recipients of the buttons. Part of the trade show culture is walking around all day to see the booths each person wants to see. If your promotional item is too big it can become annoying for the people to carry around all day. If the promotional product is too small then it could get lost in the pile of other promotional items from the other vendors.

Different Button Tactics

A tactic to compete with the other vendor’s promotional items is to make your standout as much as possible. Buttons have a space big enough to create a design or logo that will catch a person’s eye. Adding a little flair to your promotional product could do good things for your company when trying to get customers to remember you.

Now that we have moved back to in-person, it is important to make those face-to-face interactions count. A friendly smile, a good conversation starter, and being interactive with the audience are all good things to keep in mind when working a booth at a trade show. Besides using buttons as a promotional product to hand out, you can all have the members of the booth wear buttons. This can act as an eye-catcher and a conversation starter. “Ask me about” buttons are a great tactic to get someone walking by to talk to you. This type of button makes a person curious and want to learn more about what is said on the button.

The New Trade Shows: Using Buttons At A Hybrid Trade Show

A graphic of someone working a booth at a trade show with a small crowd around them.

Trade shows have been around for quite some time. This past year, we have seen many changes in how things are done, including trade shows. Virtual events have become the new in-person. As we work towards getting back to normal life, hybrid events have started becoming more popular as well. With hybrid events, there are many positives that can come out of them. Using buttons at a hybrid trade show is helpful in getting and keeping visitors’ attention to your booth. For those visiting your booth online, it can be a little more tricky

Reaching A Large Audience

When trade shows were all in-person, there would be an issue with the number of people that would be able to attend. If it was necessary for an attendee to travel to the event, that can be very time-consuming. Some people don’t have the time to travel to all the trade shows. With hybrid shows, this gives those unable to make it in-person a chance to still attend the event from wherever they are located.

Buttons are a product that can help you reach that large audience you would be dealing with. Handing out buttons with your product or a specific design on them will help pull people into your booth. They also can continue pulling people in after sending the online attendees their very own button. The button is also a low-cost promotional product, handing them out to a large group of people won’t put a big dent in your pockets.

Crowd Control

Even though more events are starting back up again, not everyone is comfortable being around big groups of people quite yet. Having the hybrid option allows a sense of control in that area. Being able to split up a group of people as big as the group that would normally attend a trade show makes the event easier to handle for those running it and would create ease for those uncomfortable.

Creating buttons to display to those coming to your booth that you have been vaccinated or are still trying to social distance is a good use for them. Keeping the audience up to date on how you and your other booth members are handling this situation. Buttons are something that is easy but can have a big impact in this way

Promotional Products

Promotional products are big in the world of trade shows. Every booth you would go to has some kind of product with the company name. Having a smaller in-person crowd can help ensure that everyone who comes to your booth or walks by gets one. Buttons stand out more than a pen and have the capability of being bigger and easier to read.

Using buttons at a hybrid trade show can work for both the in-person and online crowd. For those attending the event online, they too can get a button. Collecting a mailing list of the attendees and sending them your button can help continue the interaction after the trade show to remind the visitor of your business or products.

Face To Face Interaction

With a hybrid event, you are still getting some face-to-face interaction with those attending in person. This type of interaction is more impactful than over a screen. Even though you still will be having guests attend via computer, the small group of individuals that choose to attend will be able to make those connections again.

It’s easier to have a conversation in person about something you are trying to sell to others. A hybrid event takes some of the pressure of getting your product across to people by being able to show them the product in real life. With that being said it is still important to devise a plan on including the online group and make their experience as similar to the in-person group as possible.

With hybrid events on the rise, it’s important to have your game plan figured out. Knowing who will be monitoring the online group of people and who will be speaking with those who are in-person. It is also important to plan out how the people attending online will be able to receive their promotional button. Keeping both crowds engaged and interested can be done by using buttons at a hybrid trade show. Are Buttons Right for You?

We have talked about using buttons in your political campaigns and supporting the candidates, but what about for other functions like trade shows and parties? Many companies use buttons as their silent salesman to promote themselves or special events. Buttons can be customizable from the design on the front to the shape or size that is perfect for you! Our smaller sizes like 1″ and 1.25″ round buttons are popular as novelty items for tattoo shops, restaurants, and even at trade show booths. Larger sizes like our popular 3″ round buttons often advertise sales and events happening in stores. Unlike paper signs or coupons, buttons are much more durable, making them great to be put on backpacks, lanyards, and as wearable marketing materials for your employees. Buttons also are not going to rip, crumble, shrink, bleed, or fade. It’s even great for small budgets because the buttons can be used and re-used! Once you pin a button onto your shirt, backpack, or lanyard, they become what we like to call a walking billboard for your company and designs. By having a colorful button and/or a catchy slogan is a great way to catch people’s attention and spread awareness for you or your brand. If you are a business that relies on local foot traffic, handing out buttons to your customers can be a way to create some buzz within your community and drive in new patrons. The more buttons that make their way out into your community, the higher chance a new customer might see it. Buttons also make great giveaway items. These could be at trade shows to give you an edge up on your competitors, and your company is being advertised by the attendees wearing your buttons who move around the trade show floor. People might even seek out your booth or table specifically because they want a button of their own! Unlike the fliers or cards that most companies hand out at their tables, buttons can easily be pinned to their jacket or lanyard. We believe that buttons are a great way to express yourself and show off your brand. Whether they are for parties, campaign, trade shows, giveaways, we know that everyone will love your buttons. So what are you waiting for? Check out our website to see the different samples of buttons we have done and place your order today!
