Using Custom Buttons as Your “Silent Salesman”

Have Something to Say? The Best Place is on a Custom Button!

Our pin-back custom buttons are perfect for your giveaways, advertising, fundraising, or promotions. Buttons are a perfect conversation starter for your customers to ask about promotions they may not be familiar with, or other questions they may have about your business.

Think of your buttons as your “silent salesman”. When your employees wear buttons it helps notify your customers about promotions both in-store and/or online. Plus, when customers wear your buttons, it is a way for them to be a walking billboard for YOU.

Backpack with buttons

People put buttons everywhere! They wear them on their clothing and accessories, and advertise your business for you when when others ask what they are for. The more that a business can get advertised out of the brick and mortar setting, the better!

First-hand anecdotes from customers are a powerful tool when it comes to advertising. Genuine conversations from your current customers to potential customers about your business leads to “word of mouth” discovery. Buttons can help begin these conversations, with loyal customers encouraging others to support the brands they display and love.

Buttons are Perfect for Retailers, Grocery Stores, and Small Businesses

Pile of buttons for advertising

Pin-back buttons can let your message travel fast! Pin-back buttons are the perfect size to “express yourself”, and they come in many sizes, both small and large. Companies love to use them for marketing their brand because they are “silent salesman” for employees. The button does all the talking for your employees, especially if they are not directly interacting with a customer. The more the customer can see your promotion, the better your sales will be.

If buttons are given or sold to customers, they become mini billboards being paraded through town by your satisfied customers. And people can take them wherever they go: on their backpacks, jackets, hats and more! What’s a better consumer endorsement than seeing your brand on others?

Custom Buttons are Super Affordable

Display of buttons used for advertising

Businesses big and small love to purchase pin-back buttons because they are inexpensive and are very effective to get the word out about your promotion. In fact, the more you purchase the more money you save with our quantity price breaks.

Buttons are not just for political campaigns, they are also popular with retailers, grocery stores, and small businesses. One of our clients, Cabela’s, uses buttons to notify their customers about the deals they are featuring for the month. After visiting a local Cabela’s, we have seen not just one employee who is wearing the button, but all their employees are wearing buttons. They are using the buttons to share their message and promote their current sales. Custom buttons are an economical choice that produces great results time and time again!

Custom Buttons are Part of History

Keepsake boxes with items from days gone by will likely have a button or two that mark an occasion in a person’s life. For many people, buttons hold the memories of their first rock concert, campaign election, and other events they participated in.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of going to an antique show or state fair, you probably stumbled across some pin-back buttons from years past. Collectors love to assemble a collection of buttons that were used in promoting products like cereals, tobacco, and gum.

Today’s businesses still see the value in advertising their products with buttons because they are high demand collector’s items. While the businesses of yesterday may not have anticipated this collectability, they successfully used pin-back buttons to get the word out about their products. The more original and unique your artwork and catchphrase is, the better your chances are of having your buttons become a timeless piece of advertising history.

Using buttons to mark your business’s special occasions is a great way to keep track of your company’s history. Use the same design or update it every year, we are ready to help you begin the next chapter of your business’s success!

Custom Buttons are Just Plain FUN!

Let’s not beat around the bush, pin-back buttons have had great success because they are fun for young and old alike. Whether you are advertising for your small business, fundraising for a worthy cause, or raising awareness of a new policy, customized buttons are sure to communicate what you want effectively. Plus since you can use your logos and favorite sayings, you can show more of your company’s personality to your customers. Buttons are the perfect “silent salesman”, and let you relax while it does the talking.

Pocky Day buttons

Pin-back buttons are not the only option that we offer for “walking billboards”. We also have clothing magnets and bulldog clip buttons for those who do not want to put a tiny hole in their clothing. While these backings may be a bit more expensive than the traditional button, they are worth it for the ease of the button being able to be applied and removed to clothing. There is a huge variety of sizes with over 10 sizes to choose from. You are sure to find what you want. Anything that you can imagine, we can make for you.

Custom buttons have evolved to be the ideal way to quickly communicate an idea to others. With more and more new policies being enacted by small businesses, retail, and grocery stores, all in-store shoppers need to be quickly notified to make shopping experiences smoother. Sometimes all it takes is a simple button on an employee to explain your policy changes, or to prompt customers to ask for more information.

Buttons are a simple hands-off way for your business to share vital messages about your business, promotions, and specific policies in a quick and easy way. Plus, with the option to fully customize the design, the opportunities are limitless to what you can do with your customized buttons! Ready to order buttons for your business? Me & the Bees & Buttons are a Natural Fit

Me & the Bees Lemonade & Buttons Working Together

In the years following a then 9-year-old Mikaila Ulmer’s $60,000 investment win on NBC’s ‘Shark Tank’, she’s become one busy little bee with her company Me & the Bees Lemonade est. 2009.

At 13, the young entrepreneur and businesswoman has a hugely successful lemonade company, Me & The Bees, which she started at just four years old after being stung by not just one, but two buzzing bees. To add insult to injury, both stings happened in just one week.

Deciding to learn about bees instead of dismissing the tiny insects and their duel attacks on her skin; Mikaila unexpectedly developed a fascination for them after many hours of research. She discovered that honeybees are essential to the ecosystem and for the pollination of our crops. She also found out that they are under threat of extinction.

This strange coincidence happened while Mikaila was also trying to come up with an idea for the Acton Children’s Business Fair. While still smarting from her bee stings, Mikaila’s Great Granny Helen sent the family an old cookbook from the 1940’s that contained a recipe for Granny Helen’s special Flaxseed Lemonade.

And then an idea was born. Flavoring her granny’s lemonade with honey made by local bees, Mikaila opened her very own lemonade stand to sell her sweet concoction to neighbors, at city events and eventually, a small Austin pizza shop. She decided to donate a portion of her sales to help organizations like the Texas Beekeepers Association, which conduct research into the preservation of bees.

Little by little, Mikaila began to grow her lemonade business until it bloomed into a full-blown company complete with contracts from Whole Foods and United Natural Foods distribution, enabling her lemonade to be sold in nearly 20 states.

All the attention that Mikaila and Me & the Bees received on ‘Shark Tank” after CEO of FUBU clothing, Daymond John, decided to invest in the company for a %25 stake share later led to an invite to the White House for the annual kids’ “state dinner” in 2015 where Mikaila first met then President Barack Obama. She met Obama again in 2016 when she introduced him at that year’s annual Women’s Summit.

In the last year and a half, she has parlayed her rising fame and success into the creation of the Healthy Hive Foundation, became a member of Microsoft’s People of Action network, speaking onstage with Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella at the WE Day Conference in Seattle in 2016, traveled to Cape Town, South Africa to teach a class in Finance 101 and was named one of Time magazine’s “most influential teens” in 2017.

As for 2018, Mikaila will take on a brand new challenge: writing her first children’s book. It will, of course, instruct kids on how to start and run their own businesses.

On March 7th, Mikaila will be speaking at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA. She will tell her story of bee stings, honey and hard work, called “When Life Gives You Lemons.”

Me & The Bees ordered 1.25″ pin-back custom buttons from CustomButtons.com By Everyone Loves Buttons® to help promote her business at this huge event in Southern California this coming weekend. If you’re in Southern California and will be attending, please stop by booth #N2331 to try out Mikaila’s unique lemonade (available in four delicious flavors) and to show your support with a button.  Always remember when you see Me & The Bees lemonade being sold around town, don’t forget Mikaila’s motto: Buy a bottle, save a bee.
