Which Round Button to Pick?

We offer multiple button sizes for our round shape buttons, and today we will provide you with helpful tips for picking the perfect size for your needs. (Please be aware that these images do not show each button at their true size!)

 

Button Sizes

7/8″ & 1″

A little smaller than a US quarter, these sizes are perfect for showing off simple designs. Because of their small size, these are perfect for pinning to a lanyard, adding a little bit of personality to a hat, or giveaways at events.

Keep in mind, text will always print small on these sizes, and might be difficult to read!

 

1.25″, 1.5″, & 1.75″

These sizes are great for sharing! They are perfect for showing off logos and small amounts of text. Their size makes them very versatile, they are small enough to pin almost anywhere!

 

2.25″ & 2.5″

Some of our most popular sizes, these buttons are the fantastic for displaying your logos and slogans. In fact, the 2.25” is the typical “campaign button” size. They can hold more detail than some of our smaller sizes, and are great for displaying your messages clearly for others to see!

 

3″, 3.5″, & 4″+

Want to really grab people’s attention? Choose one of our largest sizes to ensure your message is read clearly by everyone. These sizes are fantastic for displaying photos and logos, and can show the most amount of detail. Your designs will really shine thanks to the generous space on these buttons!

Buttons of All Shapes and Sizes

Buttons like people come in many different shapes and sizes. From round to square, or rectangle to oval, buttons are versatile! Here at Everyone Loves Buttons® we make 11 different round buttons, 3 squares (or 6 if you want to rotate your square and make it a diamond), 2 rectangles (or 4 if you’re counting horizontal and vertical), and 1 oval.

To start with our round sizes we can make: 7/8″, 1″, 1.25″, 1.5″, 1.75″, 2.25″, 2.5″, 3″, 3.5″, 4″, and finally 6″. The squares are: 1.5″ (standard or diamond), 2″ (standard or diamond), and 3″ (standard or diamond). Our rectangles are 2″x3″ (horizontal or vertical), 1.75″x2.75″ (horizontal or vertical).

Whoo, that’s a mouth full! Continuing on…

Each size has their benefits and selling points, like the 7/8″-1.75″ buttons make great give away tokens for businesses when at trade-shows and events. Our hottest button sizes are the 2.25″ and the 3″ as they are great for advertising a business and big enough the read from afar. The 4″ and 6″ buttons are great for selling hot items and photographs because they have a large face. These are just some of the ways our customers use their buttons!

The back of the buttons can be just as important as the front of the buttons when it comes to their uses. We offer the standard pin back which is a metal pin that runs across the back of the pin and has a hook to catch the pin. We also have magnet backs so you don’t have to pin a button onto your clothing which comes in two types, round (for button sizes 1.5″ round and 1.75″ round) and clothing bar (for button sizes 2.25″, 2.5″, 3″, 3.5″, 4″, 2″ square, 3″ square, 2×3″ rectangle, 1.75×2.75″ rectangle, and last but not least the oval). If you are looking for flat magnet backs, you can check out our flat back buttons which come in sizes: 1″, 1.5″, 2.25″, 3″, 1.5″ square, 2″ square, 3″ square, 2×3″ rectangle, 1.75×2.75″ rectangle, and the oval. We also have bulldog clips which clip to your shirt on all of our buttons except our smaller sizes starting with 7/8″ through 1.5″. There is an option to put a mirror on the back of your 2.25″ buttons which is neat for carrying in purses or pockets. Finally we have Zipper Pulls®, which are one of our newer items and we’re so excited about them!

Zipper Pulls® come in two sizes 1″ and 1.25″ and are a button with a versa back® and clip attached to the back. It allows you to ‘Clip it ‘N Zip It’ as we like to say. Zipper Pulls® can be clipped onto to sweatshirts, purses, backpacks, key chains, lanyard, you name it.

SPOTLIGHT ON BUTTON SIZES AND USE OF TEMPLATES

Here at Everyone Loves Buttons Inc.® we are frequently asked by both our existing clients as well as prospects about the various button sizes that we carry, the unique niche associated with each size and file preparation tips when it comes to conforming existing artwork to our button templates. We have ALL of our button templates prominently displayed on the home page of our website where links can be found. The smallest button size that we carry is a 7/8″ followed by a 1″ , 1 ¼”, 1 ½” and 1 ¾”. The 7/8″ size as well as the 1″ size buttons are often used in the music industry, sometimes sold as concert packs, as well as in the technology industry for trade shows. These sizes don’t take up a lot of space and are highly desired as an easy method of product branding. These two sizes are the only ones that contain a locking clip pin which is installed by hand after the button is assembled. The other sizes mentioned above contain the industry standard safety pin back. The 1 ¼” or 1 ½” size buttons are often ordered by non-profits, organizations or retail establishments. These buttons often contain pithy sayings, church youth group program illustrations, branding messages. Even May Company and General Motors have chosen this size for past large orders). The 1 ¾” size button is my least favorite size only because it is neither small nor large. When a design has a lot of detail and the customer requests that the button be on the smaller size, then this may be perfect. A custom with a military-related button design has ordered tens of thousands of these 1 ¾” size buttons during 2014 and I have to admit that the size is perfect for their particular project. Please note that it is easy to utilize our templates when using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop graphic programs, Just save the template to your desktop and you can open up the file from within the program. Please keep your main design within the red dotted inner circle and do not extend the bleed area (solid colored background color if applicable) beyond the blue circle. The outermost black circle is our die line whereby the graphics ultimately get cut. Please note that because we cut the graphics in a stack, there is the remote possibility of some slight shifting. This is why we recommend that the live area image not get too close or extend beyond the inner dotted red circle. We are always here to help if you should need some assistance with our templates. Our in house art dept. can create a design from scratch or utilize your design that may or may not be in a template. Either way we can work with what you have.
