This years NCAA men’s tournament has been very unpredictable. It is down to the final four who will be heading to San Antonio. Loyola’s win over Kansas was a tear jerker for many people. This being due to Sister Jean watching the game in her wheelchair, and coach Porter Moser jumping over the press row to hug his family. But another unsuspecting team made it to the final four. Kansas State coach Bruce Weber sitting in the back of Philips Arena, watched his team beat down on their opponent. Weber called Loyola physical and said they switched on everything. This team has great defense, making them a team to be feared.
Before Loyola upgraded their locker room. All their plays were drawn out in the locker room for the players to see. This was a great strategy for the team and certainly aided in their victories.
The golden state warriors are also making great victories this year. They are currently the highest scoring team in the NBA. However, player Steven Curry is once again out for the final stages of the stretch run. Without Curry, the Warriors could be vulnerable to losing. Points are hard to come by when the teams all stars are off the court. This was proved true by the Warriors. Recently, the Warriors have lost six of their nine games. This has been a problem for them since 2014. Without Kevin Durant, Steven Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, the team may struggle for the rest of the playoffs. The warriors got 12 points in the first five minutes of the game during first period. They then opened the game to a 17-7 run and take a nine point lead into the second quarter. The pacers then opened the fourth period to a 17-6 run. The Warriors were unable to then keep up with the Pacers.
College Basketball has taken note to the warriors due to their victorious 3-pointer. The Golden State Warriors will finish their fourth game with the Milwaukee Bucks. We are confident the warriors will succeed due to their victory in the head match in January.
Durant called the 3 pointer “new” because twenty years ago, kids weren’t raised with the 3 pointer. Making the warriors 3 pointer one of the best in the NBA.
Here at Everyone Loves Buttons we are fans of the Golden State Warriors and we even made buttons for them! These buttons display the words “strength in numbers.” Go Warriors!
